About
VDR Labs is a nine-person engineering team in Jakarta, Indonesia. We take embedded products from first prototype through certification and volume manufacturing, with one team on the product from start to finish.
One room, no handovers
Most hardware products pass through several firms before they ship: one for the concept, one for the board, one for the firmware, another for production. Each handover costs time and loses detail.
VDR Labs was started by three electrical engineers from the same class at Atma Jaya Catholic University: Vincent Raditya, Wira Aditama and Reiner Adi. We split the work along the lines we were already strongest in, concept and measurement, hardware and production, and firmware, and kept all of it in one team.
Our first major project was a prototype for a client in Poland that went on to a Kickstarter campaign and 3,000 units. Today we work mostly with hardware companies in the US, Europe, the UK, Australia and Singapore, from our lab in Jakarta.

Deepest in the embedded core
We cover the whole path from concept to production, but not every stage equally. This is where most of our hours go.
